Council Announcements

Planning for Pastor Meg’s 9-week sabbatical next summer has begun. The elders are in the process of determining interim coverage while she is away and will keep the congregation informed when a decision has been made.

 General Church Announcements

Nursery Volunteers: We need additional nursery volunteers! If you are willing to do this, please contact and she will guide you through the background check you need to do, unless you have already done so in the DCCRC church.

Join us for pub theology at 7:30 on January 3 at the Republic in Takoma Park.  We will discuss the ways that women are objectified in our culture, the #metoo moment, and how our sexuality can be redeemed through the grace and truth of Christ.

Potluck: All are welcome for the first Sunday potluck after services on January 7.  Bring a dish to share if you are able.

Parking: On Sundays, please don’t block the handicap ramp when you park.

Adult Sunday school: On Jan. 7 and possibly 14, Alicia De Jager (student at the Univ. of Virginia) will be leading us in a discussion of Christian response to the white supremacy movement.

Book Group is reading In the Midst of Winter by Isabelle Allende for our next breakfast meeting, 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20 at Siyroush’s. All are welcome.
